Next, we could publish you!

About Comics is looking for artists from upcoming projects, all of which will be written by Eisner nominee Nat Gertler. Our needs fall into two categories:

  • GRAPHIC NOVELS Note: for personal reasons, Nat has delayed these GN projects and we are not seeking artists for the forseeable future.
    • Roughly from 60 to 100 pages in length
    • Low (we mean it) advance against a fair royalty rate
    • Co-ownership of proeprty copyright and an equal share of all non-comics licensing control and money
    • Loose deadlines (given the low advance, there is no way to do this affordably as a full-time job.)
    • Projects in need of artists:
      • SS:humorous space opera
      • CT: broad, satirical adventure in a future urban setting
      • VU: Bouncy humor with some superheroesque characters
  • CHAPTERS
    • Short stories, 4-16 pages, often individual chapters of larger works
    • No advance, but royalty payments starting from the very first copy sold
    • No control over the property or license, but you will be financially involved in all licensing profits
    • Projects in need of artists:
      • ID: dramatic downbeat human work with some superhero-related material Delayed
      • BC: requires a broad range of human styles, from bigfoot humor to dry realism
      • Licensable Bear™: Humor material, funny animal and humans together. See here for example.
